Steps for Arranging a Wedding at New Song Church
- Call New Song Church during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 9 am-2 pm), (702) 492-1771, and give your contact information to one of the church secretaries. A wedding coordinator will return your call.
- If you have already selected a wedding date, the wedding coordinator will consult both the church master calendar and staff pastors to check on their availability to perform your ceremony and pre-counseling sessions. If you have not already selected a wedding date, the wedding coordinator will provide a choice of dates for you to consider based on the church master calendar and the availability of a pastor to provide pre-wedding counseling and to officiate at your wedding ceremony.
- Once a wedding date has been reserved with the wedding coordinator, you'll receive an invoice requesting a deposit of 50% to hold your wedding date reservation. Please note: Your reservation is not official until the required deposit has been received in the church office. The wedding coordinator will contact you to confirm your reservation. At that time, the wedding coordinator will work with the officiating pastor to arrange your first pre-marital counseling session date.
- During your first pre-marital counseling session with the officiating pastor, you'll complete the PREPARE premarital inventory. You will also receive a list of suggested wedding vows and scripture readings for use in your wedding. If you desire, New Song can provide a list of preferred vendors for a variety of other needs related to your wedding, including: caterers, floral shops, photographers, formalwear providers, etc. At this meeting, you'll set a second meeting date with the officiating pastor.
- Prior to your second meeting date with the officiating pastor, you'll make arrangements to meet with New Song's Music Minister to select the music for your wedding.
- After you've met with the Music Minister, you'll have your second and final pre-marital counseling session with the officiating pastor. At this meeting, the pastor will interpret the results of your PREPARE survey and discuss your wedding service with you.
