About New Song's Logo"I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord." - Psalm 40:1-3 Music is an expression of the heart and soul. A song comes to our lips in those moments when life is good and we have been moved to a place of awe and gratitude. Music has the power to lift us up when we are down. Singing with a group, playing in a band, or just simply singing along with the radio or a CD has a way of making us feel good and inspiring us for our daily walk! When God touches a human heart, God puts a new song on our lips. At New Song, we believe God is about the process of lifting hearts and bringing new life! The logo for New Song reflects this truth. The imagery of music is found in the cross and treble clef which leans forward to suggest energy and vitality. The mountains of Anthem - Seven Hills form a musical staff. The colors of the staff form a rainbow, symbolizing the hope and promise of new life ever since the time of Noah. The rising sun behind the cross reminds us of the promise of life that comes with a new day. The words "New Song" are chosen also to suggest the bridge between heritage and our contemporary reality. At New Song, we are about singing the "age-old" faith in ways that are new, meaningful and relevant for today's people. |
